Which tryout time do I come to?

You MUST come to the tryout for your age group.  
You may be asked to come back and tryout for a team of a higher age but for the first  tryout we ask that you come to your age group so that we can compare you with players of the same age to see if you need to move up and also so that you can see the other players of your age trying out also.

*USAV Age Definitions for 2021-2022
18 & Under – Born on or after July 1, 2003 or  born on or after July 1, 2002 & still in HS
17 & Under – Born on or after July 1, 2004
16 & Under – Born on or after July 1, 2005
15 & Under – Born on or after July 1, 2006
14 & Under – Born on or after July 1, 2007
13 & Under – Born on or after July 1, 2008
12 & Under – Born on or after July 1, 2009
11 & Under – Born on or after July 1, 2010
10 & Under – Born on or after July 1, 2011

Basically what age you turn before July 1st of next year is what you are.  For example, if you are 16 now but you turn 17 in June (ie. turning 17 before July 1st) then you qualify as a 17 year old for USAV.  95% of the time your USAV age corresponds to your grade in school.  Most 8th graders are 14U, freshman are 15U, sophomores are 16U, juniors are 17U, and seniors are 18U.
